Very excited to be in South Africa! The beaches here are known for their beauty and I’ve included one beach picture here as well as some other architecture shots.
After viewing the lava fields, we enjoyed a stop at the Bodegas Rubicon, where we tasted some of the local wine and cheese. The vineyards here are very different looking-vines are planted inside semicircular lava stone walls in rows. The wine is refreshing and we brought back a few bottles to enjoy on the ship. I’ve included some pictures of the winery, which was very beautiful.
May Day-a lovely day to arrive in Cobh! Everyone is in a holiday mood-people are strolling with their babies, small children and dogs. A fair is set up on the waterside and the restaurants, streets, and pubs are crowded. It’s a lovely town with multi-colored houses and shops lining the promenade. John and I visited the Titanic Museum-we are kind of Titanic nerds and this was her last stop before heading to New York. One hundred and twenty three passengers emigrated here. The museum is very well done. Afterwards we had a refreshment at the local! .
One of the most naturally beautiful cities in the world, Cape Town is an amazing place to visit. We took a city tour and explored areas of the city from high rise buildings downtown to the beautiful beaches and up to Table Mountain.
So cool. The last building looks like it’s leaning.
ReplyDeleteSherry’s right it does look like it leaning! I love that first picture of the hut-like structure and that art! -Jackie
