Bonorong Animal Refuge

 Wonderful day! Today was Sunday Superbowl Night for everyone back home. For us, it was Monday morning Superbowl! The ship had the game on a giant screen on the World Stage and we had lovely snacks all day-wings, hot dogs, salsa and chips, empanadas. That was really fun. The best part of the day for me was a trip to the Bonorong Animal Refuge, where I got to fulfill one item on my bucket list-feeding a kangaroo! I also got close up with a Tasmanian Devil, two echidas, and a sleepy wombat!

John’s Birthday

 John’s 72nd birthday was celebrated yesterday at sea on the way to the Canary Islands. We had a lovely breakfast in the dining room, where the waiters sang Happy Birthday in Indonesian! Upon returning to our stateroom, we were surprised by a visit from room service with a birthday cupcake and note from the Captain. In the evening we ate at the Pinnacle Grill with friends and John had a special birthday cake. While we were eating , our room stewards decorated the cabin for another birthday surprise!
